About This Bike

This 2010 Specialized FSR XC Comp was part of our rental fleet. It has a small frame (15 in.). It served for about 10 months before being retired with a full overhaul. It is in very good condition but there are some cosmetic scratches (please see photos) from normal use. Fork and shock stanchions are fine and drivetrain is in good shape. The MSRP on this bike was $1550. There is no reserve on this item.

The approximate weight of the bicycle is 32lbs. Your scale might calculate the weight to be as low as 30lbs or as high as 34lbs. This auction is for a 2010 Specialized Epic Expert mountain bike, size large. I bought this bike over the summer as my racing bike. It looks like I won’t be racing anymore this year, and I can’t really justify keeping the bike. It only has about 100 miles on it, and it’s in excellent condition. I switched some of the components for parts that I prefer for racing, but the ones I put on the bike were new at the time. You can look at the specs below to see what I’ve switched out. This is a very solid and well maintained bicycle. It’s seen very little use, so its about as close to new as you’ll find. This is a great opportunity to get your hands on an Epic at a great price. This is a great bike. Specialized really did it right with this one. A perfect 229er full suspension. Great for xc races, marathon races, and even a little all mountain riding. This bike has 119 miles on it. I ride a lot of gravel here in Nebraska. That’s with my cross bike. This bike has sat most of the year. It does show some minor signs of use. But overall it’s great. I’d give it a 9 out of 10. It is completely stock. I will include tubes as it is setup tubeless with stan’s. Also the sidemount water bottle cage will be included. The SRAM XX is AWESOME! Very light and very fast shifting. It has made me a SRAM convert. The fork is a combination between Specialized and Rock Shox. A Reba lower with custom ti parts, with the specialized carbon crown and steerer. The Roval wheels are great, very stiff 29er wheel!
I’m 5′9″ and it’s a great fit.

These decals will put that final touch to your GT bicycle your are re-storing or make that kick-ass GT you bought new years ago that now has frame decals that are ripped or have parts missing look like new!

These decals are waterslide type which are used on most production bikes motorcycles, and other products because they have 2 advantages. One because they are waterslide type the surface you apply the decals to must be sprayed with water before applying which gives the person the advantage of moving the decal around after it is applied to the new surface so that it can be place in the exact spot it needs to be placed.

This gives factory workers and yourself the opportunity to move the decal in case it was not applied in the correct place. With adhesive backing decals you have one chance to place the decal in the correct position, because as we all know once these decals are applied, it normally can’t be peeled back off the new surface and moved to the correct one.

These decals have a second advantage over adhesive decals, once they are placed in the correct position and have completely dried (usually about 30min to an hour) they stay in place better and the corners of these decals don’t start to curl-up after time, in fact once they have dried they are a B#*ch to get off, which is a good thing!

Here are some pictures of a frame I have that I put a set of these decals on so you can get an idea of how they look on a real bike frame.

Excellent condition TREK FUEL 90 Full Suspension MTB from 2003. Bike has been ridden but taken care of. Recent professional tune, New Cassette,New Chain, New Brake pads. This is a rim brake only frame. Fork you could use disc w/ but would require a disc compatable Front wheel. Bike weighs 27 lbs 10 oz. as picture. Bike does not include pedals. Pretty much stock other than Saddle which is a Fizik Poggio, cranks were swapped at some point to Shimano LX.

This auction is for a very rare 1996 Jamis Fire Dragon!

In 1996, Tom Teesdale from TET Cycles ( http://tetcycles.com/bikes/frames/mountain/ ) was commissioned by Jamis Bicycles to build 100 frames. 50 frames were built as Dragon Flys (Aermet 100 mains with Ritchey WCS stays) and 50 frames were built as Fire Dragons (Reynolds 853 mains with Ritchey WCS stays). Many of the Dragon Fly frames were used by the Jamis Pro Mountain Bike team that year, so few made it into consumer hands. There had been a few issues with the Aermet 100 material, thus they were not actively marketed.
VERY RARE, Excellent condition, extremely low miles. This bike has less than 5 total rides on it (less than 50 miles!), as it has not been ridden since 1998. The TET Serial # on this Frame is 085. One view of the condition of the Shimano XTR components will indicate the extreme low mileage of this rare and unique bicycle.
Fire Dragons was a limited production run as well, but used a much more reliable and well known Reynolds 853 main tubeset. Ritchey WCS components were used in the rear triangle.
All 100 frames were then coated by Jet Hot with their Sterling Silver ceramic coating. This ultra durable coating was the first (and currently only) time Jet Hot has coated a production bicycle frame (albeit it limited).

This bicycle was originally owned by a 5’10” rider.

Important Details:
The Manitou fork no longer functions properly as the cartridge used for rebound control no longer works. My recommendation is either replace the cartridge (i see new ones pop up on Ebay from time to time for next to nothing) or to replace the fork with an updated fork with similar 80mm travel such as a Rock Shox SID.
