2008 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp 29er Size: 18″
This bike has been very good to me, but I bought a full suspension 29er so this must go.
This is 2008 model and has an 18″ frame. It is slightly smaller than a 19″ which makes it a little nimbler on the trail. I am 6 feet tall and had no issues with size. I actually bought this bike for this size.
The bike is 100% functional and is ready to ride. It does have its fair share of light scratches and it was in this condition when I bought it – nothing unusual, in my opinion. I just want to make it clear that this bike is not mint. I have taken pictures for your review.
There is one area on the downtube where a water bottle has rubbed and caused a slight indentation on the frame. I have taken a picture of this feature. It hasn’t been an issue for me, but I wanted to show it so there are no surprises.
This Stumpjumper is mostly stock with a few exceptions / upgrades:
- I upgraded the shifters to SRAM X-9 from the stock SRAM X-7.
- I swapped the stock Specialized handlebars for a wider Easton model. The stock bars were too narrow for me.
- The saddle is the same as stock, but is white and from my other bike.
- The wheels are upgraded to a set from a 2008 full-suspension Stumpjumper 29er – the rear wheel has the DT swiss hub. The wheels are straight and true.
This bike does not come with pedals. I am including the water bottle cages as shown.
Please ask all questions before bidding. My feedback is 100% so please bid with confidence. I have packed and shipped many bikes and pack well. I will do the same in this case as well.
Thank you.
