2006 Specialized p3 dirt jump mountain bike frame p 3

Hello!

For sale: 2006 Specialized P3 Long frame including the stock seat post, chain tensioners, derailleur hanger, e.13 chain guide, seat post clamp, and headset.  I am selling because I replaced this with an XC frame.  Other than paint missing from chain slap, the frame and the accompaning parts are in good shape.

The Frame

I bought the p3 as a complete bike thinking that I could get rid of my mountain bike, road bike, and old 20inch BMX bike and have one bike—the p3—that would take the place of all of my bikes.   I have ridden it much more like a cross country bike than how it is meant to be ridden.  It did a good enough job for me, but I wanted a more XC specific frame.  The frame has not been ridden hard because I have used it for XC.  The only issue is the paint chipping on the chainstay.  Although I tried to protect the frame from chain slap by using athletic tape, paint chipping still appeared underneath the tape.

P.3

EXPERIENCE: PROGRESSIVE HARDTAIL
When it comes to pushing boundaries, some riders prefer to push in completely new and different directions–not just further in an established direction. Trying new terrains, blending different styles, and expanding the collection of tricks are all primary motivators to this crowd of idolized misfits. Whether riding streets, in skate parks, at the dirt jumps, hardtail freeride, or urban assault, the common needs are simple: tough bikes, built to be stable and predictable. No fluff. No sparkly stuff. Just bomb-proof rides that mix advanced technology with top-shelf materials–all standard features of any P-series bike.

The P.3 can ride it all, but is most at home on the dirt, whether jumping or freeriding hardtail-style.

The Headset

FSA The Pig 1-1/8th threadless headset.  Includes all parts necessary except for the top cap and screw that threads into the star nut.   Includes the fork race and 2 headset spacers (3mm and 5mm I think.) This was the stock headset on the bike, and has always worked fine.  The headset is well cleaned and greased, ready to be installed (you can see the grease in the picture.)

Seat Clamp

Salsa seat post clamp with quick release.

The Chain Guide

E.13 STS 32 special chain guide.  No problems here.  I have never had a problem with this and the chain has never fallen off.  Standard size chain guides will not fit this bike, so it is nice to have this “special” chain guide included.  All parts included.

The seatpost

Uncut, Specialized Fuse SL, 6061-T6 w/ oversised M8 bolts, 30.9mm diameter.  About 13.5”.

Check out my feedback.  This is a solid frame that has been well engineered.  You are getting what is described, and you will not end up with something that pisses you off.
